Oddfest Opener

The 2025 theme of ODDFEST is Chaos and Acceleration, which reminds me of the Italian artistic movement of the early 20th century, Futurism. The movement rejected the past, and appreciated the dynamism and innovations of technology. ODDFEST is all about growth, and forward-looking creativity, which has similarities with some of the futurist ideologies. This is where the concept for the following designs comes from.

Lovebars - Coez, Frah Quintale

Lovebars Music Video

Lovebars is an Italian indie/rap song by two artists, Coez and Frah Quintale. The lyrics can be interpreted in a variety of ways, but the approach I took is that it is a love song about a relationship that starts at full speed, only for one person to slowly lose interest until they disappear completely from the other person’s life. The song mentions a necklace, which I used as the subject of my designs, transforming it and breaking it apart throughout the duration of the song until almost no pearls are left, signifying the absence of the once-present person.

Typographic Exploration, Call Me By Your Name

These style frames explore typography and its various application options, featuring the final sentence of a quote from the movie Call Me by Your Name. It is part of a dialogue in which a father speaks to his son, who is experiencing heartbreak. The design aims to capture the intensity and rapid fluctuations of human emotions.

“Just remember, our hearts and our bodies are given to us only once, and before you know it, your heart's worn out. And as for your body, there comes a point when no one looks at it, much less wants to come near it. Right now, there's sorrow, pain; don't kill it, and with it, the joy you've felt.”
